Confirmation
What is confirmation?
Confirmation is an adult profession of faith in
Jesus Christ, and a public commitment to serve
God and the Church throughout one’s life. As many of us are baptised as infants, this gives us a chance to renew that commitment for ourselves and make our own profession of
faith.
Who may be confirmed at St Martin’s?
All who attend
church regularly and are willing to make this commitment are invited to attend instruction, which usually takes the form of a 4-6 week course in the
faith. The
Bishop will visit the area and
confirm candidates every year or so at a special service. Please contact the
Vicar for more information.
